been with these guys for a long time and got many other people to sign up. the server does go down from time to time, but hasn't done for a while now so it would seem they have whatever the trouble was sorted out. customer service is fantastic - every time i have a question i just post on their forum and have a response very quickly. i probably wouldn't trust them to host a huge ecommerce website but then you wouldn't want a shared server for that anyway. for the sites i have on there (a band's website http://www.thelivid.com/ , my own portfolio (well, list...) http://www.bnagel.net/ , an opera singer http://www.edithwiens.com/ and a few others it's perfect. fantastic place to start and also excellent for lower-demand sites. comes with PHP and as many mysql databases as you can shake a stick at and a bunch of other features i haven't found a need for. also cpanel, phpmyadmin etc. |
