Verdict : I used OLM to host my site. Until about 3 years ago, my experience was quite good, unnoticeable down time, and quite fast, even though the control panel was a little bit difficult to use. I used a static ip and then shared hosting.

I started having problems with the site, increasing spam, downtime for more than 6 days in total. Technical support calls always took a while, but they are knowledgeable.

I gave reliability 2 out of 5, because OLM guaranteed 99.9% uptime (about 8 - 9 hours downtime).

Verdict : OLM, offers a good web server services, the support is easy and they speak my languaje spanish, they help me in all of my questions, the are easy. OLM offers free unlimited support 24 hours in english and spanish.

Verdict : If you get one of their shared accounts then its cheap, BUT you will get tech support that takes atleast 30 minutes to get a hold of anyone. Their infrastructure goes down OFTEN, too often. They will never tell you why but only say they are working on it.
I had a dedicated server with them a year ago and it was a mess. Crashing left and right for 12 months before I got the hell out of there.
Their billing is polite. Their tech support is very smart (especially Craig and Julius), but it takes about 30+ minutes to get ANYONE on the phone. Very unstable environment. Not recommend it at all. I recently went to liquidweb and am loving it there (had sites with them for 4+ yrs).

Verdict : Reliable and good price most of the many many years we have had them. Impossible to get for customer service response sometimes. We have had a unresolved issue with one of our biggest customer's emails cannot get through and they can't resolve it. We also have a problem with some emails bouncing back when an autoresponder is on, and they can't figure that out either. These problems may have us switching soon, but they wouldn't bother other users and all else has been fine.

Verdict : I signed up with OLM three weeks ago after leaving Hostway. One of the reasons I choose OLM was because they offered subdomains. However, I've had nothing but problems trying to figure out how to publish to the subdomain I set up using Front Page. I've been working with their Tech Support via email for three weeks now and have never been able to successfully publish to my subdomain using FP extensions. I've had a variety of suggestions, none of which have every worked. The problem is clearly on their side yet the best they can tell me after three weeks is to refer to Front Page Help so I can learn how to publish a subweb. I've been using FP for years now and know how to publish to a subweb. Anyways, I'm done with these folks and am now looking for a solid hosting company with excellent technical support and reliability. I'm beginning to worry that one does not exist!

Verdict : I've owned and oporated an elementary school classroom site for the last 5 years. When I went with OLM I was very pleased with their services. The last year has been a complete nightmare and I will be switching services within the week. They really don't care about the small guy.

Site time has been down a total of 12 hours in October and November. Another issue I've tried to work out with them is the amount of SPAM I receive everyday. This isn't your ordinary SPAM but the pornographic, fake phishing pharmacutical kind. The kind that's completely inappropriate for an elementary school. I'm done with them.

I've stuck with them for so long because they at first were great. Now, not so much. They're a local company too.

Verdict : I have been with OLM for about 4 years when i started service was very good and you speak to a tech support in like 5 mins now the hold time is like 30 mins plus and the tech guy is very rude server keep going down

Verdict : I started hosting with OLM three years ago. Back then for the most part they were solid. The past two years however have been so so.

Customer Support - They have superb technicians, BUT it takes 30 minutes to get to talk to one of them. Their infrastructure crashes FREQUENTLY (like atleast once a month) and so you find yourself often waiting to get a hold of one of them. Again A+ technician, F for time waiting.

Pricing - There is an F. Everything you want costs a few bucks to setup. Even if you need the MX record updated they will charge you $5 for it. Come on, is 1 minute of work and they charge that much for it? Also, their VPS and dedicated servers cost to setup while other hosting companies dont charge you for this. Overall you get low value servers for a big buck. I have never received any money back for the down times I did have; not a buck.

Reliability - This is a D-. Their infrastructure goes down VERY often and when it does go down its out for hours and hours. The only reason I continue to stay with them is because my dedicated servers are very difficult to move and reconfigure (talk about being lazy). Their tech support team is fantastic but the down times will hurt you. Quite frankly at this point I would not recommend them. I PRAY to god their managers and company owners read this and act on it.

Verdict : My experience with OLM since 1996 has been extremely good. I've used their shared-hosted servers, virtual private servers, and dedicated servers without any major issues. I hired OLM for the following reasons: bandwidth, tier-1 backbone, uptime/SLA, hardware/dual xeons, cost-of-ownership, su/root access, and 24x7 human support. I suggest talking to their sales team or calling the toll-free support line to assess their knowledge and responsiveness. By the way, I'm the corporate webmaster for a billion $ company and a formally educated engineer with over 20 years of experience, so I'm not some Joe Hack who decided to become an IT Manager one day by reading "IT for Dummies" one weekend.

Verdict : Their severs have gone down frequently and my settings and services on the administration page keep getting reset. At the moment my website is down and has been down for the last 5 DAYS!!!! This company is terrible. I would give them a negative rating if I could.

Verdict : In the beginning about 5 3 years ago great service,fast helpline reply,reliable servers.
At the moment many problems server downs verry offen last incident 3 days ago hardware failure on the system,verry slow support reply.
After server on again one of our main website ONLINESHOP WITH 200 VISITORS BY DAY www.jouets-en-bois.com since 3 days off service as well all e-mail service under www.villalebosquet.com
our other websites ours-poupees.com back in service after 36 hours but still no reply why our two main domains are still off ON OUR PRIVATE SERVER .It looks like there dont have qualifyd staff any more or here cant take care of international clients.
So by by USA we are on the way to move to Germany's top Hosting Service Schlund.de,more reliable and personal phone contact and no bullshit like 24 h support etc.
To bad we love america.

Verdict : My name is Jan Michael and we are running several onlineshops for high quality wooden toys and collectors toys in europe,France with about 2000 Visitors per day,first page Google Ranking under "jouets en bois" (french word for woodentoys)
In the first years working with OLM we receifed a great service,and upcoming problems where solved by the OLM helpline verry fast and professional etc.
Since about 2 years we are on a OLM private server with about 10 URL'and we discover lately more and more Server down problems on this server and a friendly but verry slow ermergency helpline reply.

Last problem come up two days ago.After we SISCOVER AGAIN TOTAL SERVERDOWN PLOBLEMS we wrote to OLM Emergency Support that all our website out of service for several hours allready , and we receifed following messages from OLM after about 5 hours waiting for a emergency reply.There say so providing as well emergency 24 h phone helpline,bu in the first try there was no answer after ringing over and over again (about midnight european time)

But there is still no message after that mail we receifed this morning in our mailbox.As we checked our websites this morning again,the server was on again most websites are working,exept our mainwebsite jouets-en-bois.com
After writing right away this morning a emergency support mail we are still waiting for a reply (more than 10 hours alleady)
I phoned up the sales departement there where verry nice on the phone open to my problems
and promissed to refer my problem to support because there was no reply from support and we get more and more in panic loosing our online clients,
Dan from sales said it looks like there has been may be a configuration DNS error after setting up our server again and this will be fixet shortly.
This was about 6 pm european time.
There is still no mail on my support account and it looks like there
dont care any more ore there cant keep up with there promisses providing a 24 h support service with htere staff.
We are more upset about that we have not receifed any short explanation ,reply than aboutthis crash at olm Servers,it can happen anywhere "may bee??"etc.we are more angry that there ignore our situation in this matter.It looks like there cant keep up any more with there staff taking care of so many customers,so it is time for us to look around for a reliable webhosting in the near future.
Now it is all most midnight in europe and our online shopjouets-en-bois.com is off service for more than two days.

Thanks for this page,so I can sleep better now and at this point I cantsuggest OLM any longer as a great webhosting Company.

Verdict : Their control panel program is a littel combersome at first, and that's why I gave them a 4 out of 5. I'd like to see them adopt Cpanel, but that's just a personal preference I guess. As for their hosting, very fast and reliable. With 24hr online tech support, you can't go wrong either. Definitely recommend to anyone out there that's looking for a quality hosting company.
