Please see review of web.com by me as these companies are one and the same. Interland bought out Burlee.com, whom I loved..sigh. Anyone notice that hosting companies are a bit like credit card companies? But I digress..
Site was down for over 36 hours, the same amount of time that I was on the phone with tech support, systems mangagers and anyone that would listen really. 24/7 tech support is non-existant. The "Executive Response Team" takes weekends off and I can't reach them until Monday. In the meantime, they have managed to lose all of our site content and with an imperceptable apology, say to leave a voice message for them. Luckily we had a back-up, tho not current, it will do until we can get as far away from Interland as possible. Have uploaded onto a server that seems to be working at the moment, but will be switching as soon as we can.
Run (screaming), don't walk, in the opposite direction from this company. |

I haven't had an Interland account since 2003. However, I was running an interland account for a couple of years prior to that, and we had a disastrous time when they were changing ownership -- they changed our plans, changed our billing, without consulting us. They were incredibly unhelpful about getting things fixed. We had downtime problems & their support staff seemed clueless. We changed plans, and then I had occasion to deal with them shortly after that; and it seemed they were much improved. I remained quite leery of them however. |
