I've been using hostitcheap for 6 years. My website is pretty simple, but accessed a lot. It comes up fast every time. I also use imap email for about 25 computers in my office, and 20 black berries, and never had any issues. Customer service is great, I called them regarding updating information on my website and they did it for me in a matter of minutes. I hightly recommend them!
I've been with HostItCheap for a little over a year. My site comes up very fast, I have never had any downtime that I have notices. My email works pefectly, and when I need help, they answered my helpdesk ticket in minutes... I highly recommend them!!
THIS HAS GOT TOP BE THE WORST HOST EVER! It is a one man show put on by Roman Kazan of Kazserve. The parent hosting company, also run by Roman is ESCAPE.COM. During my stay at HOSTITCHEAP.COM, I have had 2 'Emergency' IP changes, one time they actually got kicked out of the place they co-locate their servers & were moving the servers unannounced at midnight. They are ALWAYS down. The mail hardly ever works. They crammed 450+ accounts on to a single server & my site was sooooo slow. the final straw came when Roman put links to HOSTITCHEAP.COM in all my clients referral logs. That's right! This jerk actually tried to steal my customers! I obviously had to move. Then they held my domain hostage. Try calling them or emailing them & you will see it takes 4-5 days for this one guy to respond, or if you are lucky his girlfriend will respond with whatever Roman's excuse is today for being down. Good riddance. Don't believe me? Google HOSTITCHEAP.COM & try to find a happy customer - good luck.
Hostitcheap has been good for 3 years. Now I cannot access neither my webpage nor my email, and they are clueless as to what the problem is. Now they are sending me insulting emails. Does anyone know how to get in touch with the corporate office for Hostitcheap or Kazserv Inc?

I've used them for over 3 years and no problems at all. I have over 10 sites with them and things run smooth. The control panel is great, lots of control over my sites. I have really fast connections to the sites.

I moved my site to host it cheap a few months ago.. The move was easy and fast, The server is super fast, I get a ton of space and bandwidth, Excellent uptime so far. I've used their phone and online support with excellent response time and assistance. You can't ask for more for the $5 bux, or even from a host that charges more! I give them an A++!! I plan on signing up as a reseller soon.

with their hosting.. Servers are super fast, excellent and fast customer support via online helpdesk and phone... Great uptime.. I recommend them too all my friends and they love hostitcheap's service.
I have had a nightmare of an experience with this company - Unfortunately I did not do any research and went with their pricing as the lure - I expected to have limited contact with them and was willing to use their help desk ticket system. My mistake
Do not expect a prompt reply to any problems they cause.
I am slowly removing all my clients sites from them.

They are probably down at least once or twice a month
Recently they supposedly were doing maintenance which was to last 8 hours and ended up being 4 Days . Their email to me actually stated that the maintenance would commence the following month.
Anyway bottom line - avoid them and avoid frustrations
I have 3 sites left to switch over .
Also after their last maintenance I cancelled 3 accounts and they billed me for them the next cycle and when i said that they could credit me or i should do a charge back on my credit card they treatened me saying that they would cancel all my accounts with them.
I have found that their customer support person needs some training in customer relations.
I doubt whether they know what they are doing

I've been using hostitcheap for almost a year.. I haven't any any issues with the servers or service at all.. Compared to my pervious host the hosting is very fast... and appears to have a very high uptime. I only needed support once, and I got an answer in a few minutes.. before I even logged out of their helpdesk..
I would totally recommend them... For the price... it's amazing!
This company has bee a nightmare of embarrassment for my customers.
As a reseller and building a business it has been the worst
hosting I ever had, Why am I here? because this is my 4th webhost!
With Horible service this is the worst! I can't afford to move
right now and the time required to move 8 clients, whew...
The worst is where do I go? even $7.00 a month, the big what if? is always in my mind. can you trust even these reviews of great hosting?
I would truly love a real person sending me a real company that
I can trust, show me your logs of how long you've been there.
I use to love the hosting companies that give you megs to add to customers and just a flat rate? what happened to those companies?
Oh and trouble tickets do get a response uh....three days after the outage, with a stupid remark. what a joke. pray for me! I'm still here. hahaha

I've been with hostitcheap.com for a few years... I found them by mistake.. I've never experianced a downtime.. I currently hosting 4 sites with them.. Support (when using their helpdesk) responds very quickly... The service is fast, and the price is amazing. I get everything I can possible want in features and options. I highly recommend them.
Host it Cheap used to host one of my many websites. Unfortunately, they were the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. Not only was their email server down at every hour of the day, but their web server would only be accessible roughly 18% of the time. On many occasions I submitted a trouble ticket, however, I never received a response. At the end of my horrific 12 month hosting extravaganza, I put in my cancellation letter with the company and in accordance with their TOS (Terms of Service).
About a week letter when viewing my checking account information I noticed a charge from the company for 55.00 dollars. Even after my cancellation the morons still charged my card. I spent countless hours trying to get in touch with someone from host it cheap and again with no success. I wrote emails and called the telephone numbers provided on their website, including their other web hosting company’s telephone number. When I did some searching I found someone’s email address from within the company and I finally got a response. They told me to put in a trouble ticket!! I continued to battle with this unknown person and finally I got my financial institution involved. After I provided my financial institution with the emails and cancellation form, the charge was removed.
Then when I thought this was all finished, they wrote me another email explaining that my credit card was going to be charged within seven days. Instead of this continuous upheaval, I just cancelled my credit card with my financial institution and that has been the last I have heard from them.
i have already moved my site. I had a few occasions where they were very non-responsive to support requests. There were also quite a few occasions where my site would be unavailable, and I discovered this as I work funny hours, and this was normally in the small hours of the morning. Regarding (the lack of) support - you cannot get them on the phone. They suspended my service for "non payment" - which is really strange as they did an automatic payment. Then, the following month, they rediscovered how to charge me and took money from my account even though I had already moved my domain. I now pay SimpleHost.com a wopping $7 a month to host me, and am much happier with the service (as much as can be determined after 2 months)
I used this hosting for a musician client of mine, that had a really small budget. My recommendation about using this hosting company is...don't! Customer service is non-existant, you cannot cancel the service even with their 7day money back guarantee, the server is down with no notice, and no sorry. I would say, what do you expect for $5, but its not even worth the 5 bucks.
I decided to use hostitcheap (HIC) for hosting an artist's website. Seemed great at first - price is right, easy access via ftp, so on. Things were running along just fine, and I'd actually suggest this host for anyone that wants to put a simple site online and wont want to make any changes in the future. That said... their customer service is - honestly - miserable. It was a horrible hassle to do any of the following:
- changing any information on my account (billing info, etc)
- cancel my account (I've still been working on this for 3 months!)
- phone or fax them (they have neither, seriously)
... the list goes on. Having maintained various sites, I've turned many friends & associates away from this service, and hope I'm saving you the hassle too. Pay an extra 2-3$ per month; it's very much worth it. All my hosting is done on another host that I'm very happy with.
