This host is pretty good, but their Tech Support is horrible. I have had numerous problems with uptime and customer support. They take about a week to respond to a support ticket, and thats if you actually get a response.

So far HostingPlex has gone down the drain when i bought the hosting it was great, than they offered an upgrade which i bought, i was supposed to get a free iPod nano, than since they had none to ship i was supposed to get money back, they never gave anything to me, I've had 3 hosting accounts with them and i am currently planning on moving them to another host that will actually get the job done. Currently I am still having a support problem with them, and its been over a week, The problem is on going and its a struggle to keep my sites running on their servers. I fell like i am actually working when i try and receive support.

As long as you don't run into any problems the actual server up time has been pretty reliable.

However, when it comes to Customer Support, I would rate Hostingplex 0 out of 5 (if there were such an option). I have had a problem relating to the admin area of our site and also MyPHPAdmin that has been in existence since January 2007. Despite numerous and frequent calls logged about this nothing whatsoever has been done to resolve the issue. They promise a speedy response, and then generally just go ahead and close the call. They have never got back to me to tell me what the problem is, or why they are unable to solve it. Even when logging a call as "critical" or "emergency", their response is the same -- do nothing, and if pressed promise it will be looked into, and then nothing further happens.

I had planned on subhosting client sites with Hostingplex, but after this experience have moved to another (more reliable) hosting provider for this purpose. Hostingplex have no problem with taking one's money for domain and hosting renewal, but their support is absolutely the most pathetic I have ever come across with any hosting provider.

I've been with HostingPlex for a few years now. I've had a total of four sites with them - three running currently. The uptime is great and the pricing competitive. Their customer support, however, goes above and beyond. The main contact I've dealt with is David. He's knowledgeable - and doesn't mind explaining things. I had a recent problem getting my SSL to work. David came through and everything is working great now. I highly recommend HostingPlex to everyone.

I'm a "loyalist" so regardless of how badly they treat me, I'll stick around. Their customer service and response time is lacking but I usually get stuff taken care of with a ton of patience and persistence.
I would recommend AceNet over Hostingplex as they are nearly the same except for the fact that AceNet is American so their customer service and support is a trillion fold better.
But Hostingplex has great prices which is the second reason I stick around.

Has been very reliable, plans are cheap. Site is not super-fast from Australia, but quite usable. (Might be better in North America where the servers are located?)

If your a business or anyone that wants a proper service then these guys aren't for you. Although my experience with them wasn't a nightmare, most the problems were to do with emails and ftp. About twice a week for anywhere between and hour and 2 days I would have no email or sometimes I can recieve but can't send. Same for the ftp, I would go to update a web page and ftp can;t connect.

These guys we're my first hosts and I guess I went with them becuase of there very cheap plans for what they offered.

Don't expect fast responses from the support team but it varies. Good host if your new to the net and downtime won't effect profit. But if your website is important and NEEDS to be up 24/7 then don't go with hostingplex.

I'm with Servage atm and so far all is good...
