Verdict : Bad, Bad, Bad, bought 4 domain names & business hosting packages through UKWEB with payment being taken by HOSTLOGICAL, can't access any of the facilities, set up one website but couldn't access any of the file management facilities. No email, phone call response. Find 3 domains are registered with heart & the other.com domain THAT I PAID FOR is being used by someone else & guess who!!! GO DADDY SOFTWARE, INC. Advice be very careful as loads of scammers & 1 time tryers passing off as big solid business' I am going to put in fraud investigation with my cardholder & with the so called members who passed my details & products onto someone else. I never got what I paid for & it appears that certain domains have been given or sold to someone else that were paid for by myself. I can't access the logon page to the new management! team of UK:WEB even with the original information obtained from UKWEB on purchase. Yes & my business' have been damaged by such shite. Missing all christmas sales & in a position where i'm unable to develop my other business sites. Ratings on price yes great if you get what you paid for but a total rip off when you get charged several times for the same product & not get what you paid for in the first place.

Verdict : I have also had a series of problems with accounts opened with Hostlogical which were then tranfered to UKWeb. The packages were a good deal but from May - December 2006 they did not answer e-mails, telephone calls or letters. I eventually discovered my accounts had been tranfered from UKWeb to Heart Internet without informing me. Eventually I accessed the accounts at heartinternet.co.uk, but confusingly I had to use the orginal email address used when opening the account (now defunct) and the orginal default password given by hostlogical. UKWeb appear to have gone through an unpleasant period of mis-management in 2006, HOWEVER I have been in contact with Lee Curtis who has recently taken over at UKWeb and he was very helpful in sorting out the problems I had and seems keen to set things right!

All we want is the domain that I registered with the famous Matthew Prust (when he operated under the name HostLogical) – xxxxxxxxxx.co.uk to be registered in our name (xxxxxxxxxxx Limited) and not HostLogical. This requires the REGISTRANT NAME to be changed.

This is the first time I’ve had a response from any business related to Mr Prust so I should count myself lucky. Last time we had to find his mobile number by trawling the many, many forums written about this guy.

I would appreciate that you resolve this issue within the next 24hrs. I would also appreciate an apology from Matthew Prust who has caused my company no end of hassle through the cleanup of the legacy of the appalling customer service he has provided in his many failed businesses.

We are, as mentioned below, in talks with researchers at Watchdog and one other consumer affairs programme. We are also in the process of filing a dispute procedure with Nominet and have a stamped envelope ready to send to Nominet and Trading Standards with print outs of many of the complaints Mr Prust’s legacy has generated for your companies and his from customers old and new. Nominet informed me that if the evidence is compelling enough, you will be black marked (personally and as a business) from ever acting as an agent on their behalf.

We also have a private detective on stand by with Matthew Prust’s home details (and last known addresses) in order to get the necessary domain transfer forms signed and to collect HostLogical signed, headed notepaper to validate the domain transfer. If this fails, we will be seeking advice from Shoreham Air Show and Vicki Cameron who both appear, through Google searches, to be friends or acquaintances of Mr Prust.

Our lawyers have all this evidence and material on file to take this matter through the courts to put a stop to the dreadful service you provide to your customers.

I apologise for taking matters so far. Please make your management aware of the trouble Mr Prust has caused me and many other previous customers. I have a sneaking suspicion that you, Emma, may well be another of Mr Prust’s many aliases, sorry to sound cynical if not – ask him about his friend/colleague Matt Smith.

FYI, I have pasted a number of links for the pages that I will be sending to the relevant authorities if this mater is not cleared up by 12:00 noon Wednesday 19th September.

Verdict : This company is still a bunch of scammers. My domain and hosting was due for renewal, so contacted them to confirm cost. Replied straight away with cost so I made payment. Since making payment domain name has expired and the company has taken no action. Spent a week e-mailing and calling - NO RESPONSE! Given up trying to get response so will be filing grievance with worldpay to at least try and get money back. Now trade as UKWebhosting. Will be contacting watchdog. Incidentally contacted Shoreham Airshow press officer, as they are a sponsor of this event, to tell them what a bunch of *"@! they are and are sullying their good name.

Might it be worthwhile trying to contact the people who deal with the online finance side of their busines to see if they can stop paying them for what is so obviously a complete scam?
Something must be done about this, the people running this awful site are going to be millionaires at the rate they are going and the customers are all going to be bankrupt!

Verdict : I was also convinced by the prices, when I first bought I was a newbie to web hosting. The support was horrific, and they wouldn't allow me to move my domain. Now they've changed to ukwebhosting, I've tried contacting them but I have just been ignored. My website is still online, but I have no control over it at all. I would highly disagree with anyone thinking about buying hosting from their new alias.

Verdict : Simply stay away, I cannot add anymore to the comments already left, have contacted godaddy, as they seem to have registered my domain for them.

No support response in 3 years, email not working, no access to any form of control panel, random names being used to front the business and apparently phoney takeovers to 're-instill' confidence.

The customer I bought this for has been desperate to do something with this account and didnt want to lose the domain so stupidly has renewed hosting.

If the positives on this review are real, why is there such a huge gulf in service quality between the people like myself and the positives? Do they only fix the easy problems?

I will edit this review if I get any luck with go daddy!

Verdict : Got suckered in by the cheap prices - didn't even notice the absence of phone numbers or addresses. Moving to 123-reg (Pipex) - Much pricier but reputable and it's a case of once bitten...
Customer service? None at all. No responses to any support requests. One website has just vanished and the other has been taken offline as
I cancelled my second year's hosting payment - I figured that might get someone to contact me but no such luck. I'm currently trying to get my domains moved but the email address they've been registered with is...hostlogical's!!!.
I did a who is on ukwebhosting.co.uk (HostLogicals latest alias) and "The registrant is a non-trading individual who has opted to have their address omitted from the WHOIS service." Non-trading? If only that were the, case the world would be a better place.

Verdict : Host logical are the biggest scammers on the web. We gave up on them and have registered with fasthosts. unfortunately we can't get hostlogical to release the domain names. 2 months later and they now appear to have been bout by www.ukwebhosts.co.uk
Do an whois lookup on that domain and surprise surprise registered to Matthew Prust or hostlogical fame.
I am going to hunt this guy down!!!!

Verdict : I don't think it could be clearer that hostlogical, or some affiliate, has been posting false (superlative) reviews in this forum. Replies from hostlogical in this forum seem to include fabrications also. My personal experience of hostlogical has been very poor. My site often goes down for extended periods of time, I was double-billed, and support it utterly non-existent. I raised tickets with their problem mechanism, phoned, emailed... Nothing. There is simply no way to contact them!

I gave up and decided to wait out this year then to change to a different host. I'm not looking forward to it, as the website domain name I paid for? Is registered to hostlogical.

Verdict : Absolutely appalling customer service, they have registered my domain in their own names and as they don't answer phone calls or emails, I cannot point my domain to my new server. Currently losing £3000 per day while we're offline. My lawyers have been instructed to visit the offices and home addresses of all directors by the end of this week if we dont hear anything from them.

Verdict : Look, this guys are fraud!I recently made a business site for my client and after a month, it was gone!It said contact customer service but when I did so, someone there said he had resolved but..lies.My client was going mad.After some detective work,I discovered that they are actually resellers for Heart Internet.I contacted them but they could,t help.I had to move this site to another host.Basically Hostlogical are useless, don't care about customer service and I would advice moving.

Verdict : Wasn't going to bother posting on this as it seemed such a negtive forum, but when I saw the comments saying that Hostlogical were a fraud I was forced to post.
I've been with hostlogical for a couple of years and have over 10 domains and 5 hosting packages. They are very cheap, a very reliable uptime and the control panel is excellent. Lots of comments have been made about response times - couple of weeks a go I bought a Domain (exeterpinkladies.com) for my wife. I ordered it a lunchtime at work, and by the time I got home, the welcome email was in my intray with all the package detals needed - her site was up an hour later (admitatly not the most fancy site). If you are someone who need loads of help then you need to pay for a service that gives that - for me I like cheap, reliable hosting and thats why I continue to use them (I AM A REAL PERSON!!)

Verdict : I was very surprised when, nine months ago my website was detagged by Hostlogical without reason or notice of any kind. It is a site representing a registered charity and I have tried to make contact with Hostlogical on an almost weelky basis ever since. They simply wont respond to any e mails or tickets. I eventually gave up and tried to transfer my site but, they refuse to respond to my requests for their input into this. The last straw was when I received my access statement today shoowing that they have charged me for their services for the next twelve months.
I am only writing this review to warn any would be customers of Hostlogic to think, not twice but several times before wasting their money.

Verdict : I was going to add my complaints here but everything has already been said dozens of times below.

Apparently they have now been bought out for a second time, personally I'm wondering if the whole thing is a scam just to rebrand themselves and get away from the bad reviews. Don't you think it's funny how there are all these names involved (at various companies and their alleged staff members) and not a single one is contactable?

Also many "directors" at these companies/websites yet no mention anywhere of the limited companies behind them?

How do they even contact hostlogical to buy them out in the first place as there's no phone # and no response to emails? More's the point why would they even want to?

As far as I can tell there is just one guy behind hostlogical - Matthew Prust. He may also use the name Matt Smith (along with imaginary staff names) but do a google search for "Matthew Prust" (including quotes) and you'll see some interesting links.

Verdict : Cant believe that HostLogical can stil be bad after being taken over once again by another company. Im fed up of being let down by them, so ive decided to do something about it.

I have made my own web hosting company, HostMumbles. This company gives even more services at cheaper prices.

E.g: 100MB Hosting, 500MB Bandwidth, Unlimited emails, ftp's etc, only £9.99 per year. The Same package with HostLogical is £15 per year.

Have a look, and i promise you will not be disappointed.

Verdict : They NEVER respond to ANY attempt at contact, including registered post. They ALWAYS mess up hosting requests, usually by failing to send you a welcome email with your hosting details in it. They recently charged me for registering a new domain then simply didn't bother to register it. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY - THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY, DO NOTHING AND THEN IGNORE YOU.

I truly wish I could submit my report as all 0's. This company has caused me no end of problems. Let's start from the beginning:

I don't work for any professional company, I am a mere home based customer who wanted to put up a website based on an idea and with little website experience behind me I decided I would coincide this with a course I was doing on implementing networks and websites. Nothing spectacular I'm sure but for a novice I thought a great way to learn through doing.

From Day 1 I had problems with Hostlogical, lack of responses to emails, no responses to tickets, closing tickets without responding to them. My account was not activated for a few days, but after a few teething problems I managed to get something up. In the meantime working on the website I wanted to produce.

End of last year I went to check my site and found it was unavailable, I couldn't log on through FTP and my email was not working. As I had been experimenting with various HTML packages I gave them the benefit of the doubt and presumed it was my fault. The temporary site was down to. I logged onto the account to see everything had gone. I heard about server crashes etc and put it down to that. But my FTP was not working, the online website creator was not transfering to the main domain. I tried different FTP programmes including Frontpages own FTP programme and nothing - the line just disconnected, no errors, no warnings, nothing...

Submission date came close and I decided to try and get in contact with them, no responses to my emails and no number to contact them. I was panicking as I knew without this website I was going to fail. One of the requirements was to obtain your own domain name. Suffice to say submission day came and went and my site was not up.

Again I gave them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps my firewall was playing up, or perhaps some software preventing the FTP programmes from uploading.

Last week I purchased another domain from Hostlogical thinking ahhh perhaps it was me and I'd give them another try. Having paid for two years registration of a dot com and their appropriate package deal I began to panic again when the deadline date for this website was approaching. I did some research into this company and found this website, having read everything, everyone has had to say that is negative, I thoroughly concur that it is all true. I looked on WHOIS to find they had not even registered the new domain. Fortunately I managed to pip them at the post and get another company to register it, but in the meantime all attempts to contact them to get a refund has failed.

Overall a big fat juicey 0% for everything!!!

Verdict : Avoid this company! Having bought a domain and hosting package from HostLogical it took them more than a month to set up a 'temporary' site while waiting for the domain to become live, seven weeks between purchase and the domain being registered with nominet, and many, many unanswered emails, support tickets closed with no action and no comment, no telephone contact, nothing close to service. I'd really like to give them zero out of five. I can't stress enough how much you should avoid this company. I bought from them because I was recommended by an existing user who set up a package with them more than two years ago but how I wish I'd read these reviews first. Avoid! Avoid!

Verdict : I always try to give the benefit of the doubt. But don't doubt it this host is ****. I have never had a reply to any of my support tickets, the phone number (for Adur Media 0870 760 1198 - try it see if you get an answer) is never answered and messages ignored.
And this week the website dissapeared.
NEVER USE THIS HOST. SPREAD THE WORD!

Verdict : I would like to give all above 0 out of 5. No contact at all. I took my web hosting out with 123 Reg - well recommended though slightly dearer well worth the money.

I Hostlogical have conned me out of £17.49, I have asked for a refund but no response from them. WorldPay who take money for Hostlogical are also useless - no help at all.

Hostlogical are the cowboys of internet web hosting - conmen out to steal your money!

Verdict : With this company you get what you pay for - it took days to set up the account, they have still not registered the domain name after weeks and our website has been down for nearly 48 hours. We have inboxes full on angry customers (we use another provider) and so far not even a reply from Host logical. They are an absolute disgrace, do not use under any circumstances. I’m only writing this because I have not had one reply yet to many emails.

Verdict : I have been hosted with HostLogical for over a year, and getting them to respond to my support questions is a nightmare. I sent them a support ticket and this was ignored and marked as "closed". I have had such a problem with the site move that my site was down for nearly 6 months. To top this off, there is also a review submitted here under my name, which I can guarantee that I did not write.

I would really appreciate a response from them, but it seems as if they have mastered the art of ignorance.

Verdict : Once again im back on here. Recently, i also got hold of a Vodafone mobile phone number, COURTESY OF WORLDPAY!!!!

At the moment, i still have had no answer, as they just pick up the phone and put it back down.

On the domain side of things, i am buggered. Hostlogical have registered my main domain name to themselves, which means that i cannot move it elsewhere. for any customer thats willing to take the risk of buying off hostlogical, i would buy a domain name off 123-reg, and update the name servers, which is actually what hostlogical do themselves!!! SO THERES A LITTLE MONEY SAVING TIP FOR YOU.

Reading other peoples complaints about hostlogical, i have found quite a few better companies to host with. I am currently paying $25 per year, for 1gb webspace, 10gb bandwith, and alot more stuff that hostlogical give on their top-of-the-range product.

Perhaps everyone with a de-tagged site bugging them at home might encourage them to sort out their lousy customer service.

Does anyone know what is the next step if an ISP does not respond? Surely they are in breach of contract, not only with their customers but also with nominet, I pulled the following rules from nominets site:

"1.7. The Tag Holder will amend details on the Register Database promptly on receiving a request to do so from the Registrant."

1.8. If the Registrant wishes to use an alternative Tag Holder, and requests the Tag Holder to change the Tag associated with a domain name, the Tag Holder must not delay such a change.

2.3. Where NOMINET UK sends a registration certificate to the Tag Holder, the Tag Holder will forward the registration certificate and attached reply form to the Applicant without delay."
(Did anyone actually get their nominet certificate - I know I didn't).

Does anyone know of any resource to take this further?

Verdict : This company is an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. I've held hosting at HostLogical for around 18 months and like most 'real' reviews on this board I've experienced multiple problems ranging from frequent server down time, control panel lock out, broken ftp access, disappearing stats, inaccessible mysql and non-existant server upgrades. Requests for assistance via support ticket, email, fax and phone call are met with absolutely no response. I've only been able to resolve issues after tracing the home phone number of the owner and threatening legal action.

I cannot stress this enough - go elsewhere !

Verdict : I was detagged, and for those of you that are having no response from Host Logical regarding it, you can go to the Nominet website and you can transfer your domain name elsewhere. There is a charge (around £17) and you need to find another domain name company to transfer the tag to, but other than that there is no other way. Hope this helps.

I too have had my site de-tagged and it's no longer available and no-one is responding to my customer support pleas.

Did anyone ever actually find out if there was anything we could do ourselves about this (migration instructions we may have missed or something?)

We started off on their Starter plan but as our business has grown we have just upgraded to their Pro package for the extra space and bandwidth.

In terms of price I have not found anyone else who can match the shear number of features of their hosting with such a good price.

Verdict : I agree with the majority of reviewers here. HostLogical seem like a good deal, but BEWARE. Most of the time your site will be down. You will never get a response from their support team. And your site will be detagged with no information about how to get it back online again. Oh, they DO give you a temporary URL, and it DOES show that your site is still on a server somewhere...so WHY can't it be accessed by the URL and domain name that you paid for. I'm only glad my company doesn't rely on the websites I have bought from them. Don't waste your money on HostLogical...spend a little more and go for a quality service. Regards, Tony

After reading Host Logical's patronizing responses to other people's reviews, I have to say I'm even more disgusted and angry than before. I'm going out of my way to warn people of this cowboy company.

I have just paid hundreds of pounds to advertise my website on Yell.com and other sites, when I'm told my website doesn't even work! After trying to change my domain name to another company, I am told my domain has been detagged! This is halfway through my contract, so I was not happy. I have contacted Nominet, who will be retagging my domain elsewhere. I'm also contacting Trading Standards. I have sent over 10 emails, set up a support ticket and faxed Host Logical, but got no response at all. I found a phone number but got no reply. PLEASE BE AWARE. PO BOX ADDRESS, NO PHONE NUMBER. HOST LOGICAL IS OBVIOUSLY NOT THE COMPANY WITH ALL THE SUPPORT IS OFFERED AND THE WHOLE THING IS A CON.

I also paid for search engine optimization when I joined. They took my money, but never heard about it again. The email also was constantly down. The people that submit reviews that are positive obviously have never tried contacting their customer support (that obviously don't exist) I believe it is just one person, aka, Matt Smith, and he is taking everyone for a ride.

Verdict : Signed up with HostLogical at the beginning of the year and I have to say the service has been first class.

I read the review on here before I purchased and they were a very mixed bag, but thought I would give them a chance.

The account was set up quickly and I also signed up for their affiliate scheme giving me 15% discount on further purchases - which is always a bonus.

My site always appears to be up and running and the few support queries that I have had have been answered in a reasonable time.

If you looking for a decent budget host then I would give them a go.

I have nothing but praise for HostLogical who have hosted my webiste for over a year now without a hitch. If you can find a cheaper host with the same offering then please let me know.

Support has I think improved over the last few months and I would imagine that since the take over it will steadily get better.

The hosting package costsme under £10 a year and I have used virtually all of the free software that comes with it.

Verdict : Since Adur Media have taken over Hostlogical, there has been a rapid decline in the service. Like others, I have had 3 domain names "detagged" from my account. I have also ordered domain names and paid for them, but they havent been registered. This is due to Hostlogical removing them from 1and1 domains. It is impossible to contact anyone in the company. Hostlogical is whats known as a reseller company, meaning they buy the hosting space off another company, and then we buy space off hostlogical. The company that hostlogical buy the space off is Heart Internet (www.heartinternet.co.uk). After trying neumorous times, I decided to contact World Pay, who do the transaction process. After being on the phone for about 1 minute, I managed to get a mobile number for the company. This was still unsuccessful, as they refused to answer.

Recently, I spoke to the Local Trading Standards Office, and they advised me to write a letter of complaint, explaining that they have commited a "Breach of Contract." I was advised to give them 2 weeks to reply, and to make sure that I sent it as recorded delivery.

Verdict : Hostlogical's uptime is so consistently bad I am begining to wonder whether Adur who took them over a few month's ago are deliberately trying to lose customers to free-up servers. My website has been down again since last weekend as it was 2 weeks ago & gof knows how many times before that. There website claim of 99.9% uptime and a data centre manned 24 hours can only be described as a blatant lie. If you go to any of their testimonal sites they are usually down as well and any you find up when you check on the nominet website are not registered with them anyway. They are impossible to contact and their service status page never tells you the customer what you want to know - e.g. service status & when your website & email is likely to be available again. Despite their keen pricing they are very poor value for money as it is potluck if you'll get anything for it. Save your money, don't use them. They have more complaints on hosting company review websites such as this than anyone. If there is a regulator of hosting companies they should be closed down & all their customers refunded their money.

Verdict : Wow where to start. Purchasing the domain name and hosting went smoothly, as it does when money is involved. However 4 weeks later I still had no access to the control panel and the domain name wasn't even leading anywhere. Finally got that sorted, then came the ftp problems.I could not ftp the web site I had worked so hard on. But life was going great until I find out the my site was not only down but listed as DETAGGED on WHOIS. The next day, the other site I have with hostlogical also went down. In total the site has been down for TWO and a HALF WEEKS with no contact from them at all. I currently have no email on both sites, they sites themselves are down and my tech support tickets are closed without a response, without resolution and to make it worse Adur media aren't taking any calls. I would not recommend this hosting sevice to anyone. It is clear that you are getting what you pay for. Cheap and cheerful - and painful as a bath full of razor blades, not to mention incredibly frustrating. They seem to be managing their busness (not in the best way I might add) but how do they expect the rest of us to manage ours, especially when I rely on internet sales?

Unless they pull a rabbit from their collective..um..hats and finally start taking support seriously, I very strongly urge you to look elsewhere for hosting.

Verdict : As I write this all our sites with Hostlogical are down again, and all emails are down. The sites are down every week and sometimes for days. Customer support is just about non-existent. They have a 'tickey' system and the only response you get is that engineers are on site and working on the problem.
Perhaps they should consider sacking their 'engineers' as they cannot be much good; but I suppose as they are only virtual engineers, this won't make any difference.
The irony is, they have our site listed as one of their testimonials. The good thing is, that when prospective customers contact me, I am able to let them know about our experiences. DO NOT USE THIS HOST.

Verdict : I purchased the home+package in August 2004. I had a lot of teething problems but eventually did get my website online. When I returned from holiday two weeks ago I found that I had been detagged and could no longer get access to the site. I have tried e mailing, raising tickets and even telephone the published numbers but can get no response to my please for help. for a firm which claims to put customer care first, I find them completely useless and would not recommend them, even to my worst enemy. It seems obvious to me that the good reviews have been submitted by those with an invested interest in keeping the averages higher than the ZERO they deserve.

My domain name is not being linked to my webspace and has been down for 10 days now!!!

I have had no response from a fax, a support ticket and 6 emails just for this problem and not a single response!!! Hostlogical is a joke and a huge mistake on my part for joining them. I never expected to be totally ignored like this.

From the beginning I have had probelms and none of them have ever been responded to. At the start they failed to have my domain name registered, then I have had problems with MySQL database side and required help but got no response, and now this. I have also found out that you treat everyone like this not just me!!

They have no support at all and they now close tickets which you post to them!They have not bothered to move my site to their new servers, I have no stats since FEB 05 and it keeps disappearing!I also have bought a domain name for a customer and it heading to 2 weeks and it;s not active yet.When I type the name it goes to 1&1(US) who says it been registered by one of their customers!This company have stressed me out and as a freelance webdesigner I am tired & thinking of leaving the biz.God help you if you decide to use them!!

The hosting account if packed full of features and for the money I have not found anything as good.

They hide behind a PO Box Number - offer email and fax but no phone contact.

Their relationship with the client ends when your payment goes through. I paid for hosting and two domain registrations. One domain has still to be regsitered ad I'm getting not support on the other.

Unless you gt a kick out of being embarassed in front of your client, give HostLogical.co.ok a wide berth.

There must be something seriously wrong since the takeover of the company in March judging by other responses on this site. Have the servers gone down or is the problem more serious? Verdict : Have they gone bust? I have been running a website on behalf of a charity (although it is a normal rather than a charity account) I am involved with for several years and transfered it to them last year.
Despite renewing my annual subscription several weeks early my website, email & account all no longer exist & they have never bothered to reply to any communication. Take the money & run outfit, perhaps they should be reported to Trading Standards? (Perhaps this posting will prompt someone at hostlogical to acknowledge my existence). I am fed up of having to field angry emails from people unable to access my website. A phone number to contact them would be nice as they never respond to emails.

Verdict : This company is a complete joke, and I would STRONGLY advice people to go nowhere near HostLogical.
My website went down 3 days ago for no apparent reason. I've sent repeated emails to HostLogical, and have posted on their 'support' site...I've heard absolutely nothing from anyone at HostLogical.
Whenever I've hit problems I've never heard from them...Whenever I've renewed or upgraded my package I get a reply in minutes, saying that they've gratefully received my money...Funny that, don't you think!!!
It appears that HostLogical either don't care, or just can't be bothered to sort out the problem with my missing website, so it looks as though I'll have to take my custom elsewhere.
I'd just like to repeat....PLEASE, PLEASE, DON'T GIVE YOU MONEY TO THIS 'MICKEY MOUSE' COMPANY

Verdict : I have been using host logical for almost 2 years - they were cheap, they were fast at responding to my enquiries at first. but over the last 6 months, since the migration from the other server, they have not answered any tickets raised. I have purchased a second domain name and hosting package for myself. still waiting for it to "go live" after 2 weeks.
I also purchased and made a website for a friend of mine and they are happy with what I have done so far.
I would definately recommend them to friends, and indeed I have done so.
Hopefully after this "takeover" "buyout" they will sort the support network out, as that is the only thing that is wrong with hostlogical as far as I can see.

Verdict : Cheap but not cheerful. Useless tech support, massive amounts of downtime and endless problems with mysql hosting (my site has been down for 2 days at the time of writing and I am not getting any solid information from hostlogical).

Yes they are cheap, but not cheap enough when the service is this bad, what is the point for paying very little for a terrible service, that does not add up to 'value' in my book.

I submitted a 'ticket' for support a couple of weeks back and waited 6 days with no response so I gave up. Very poor.

Verdict : The "99.9% Uptime Guarantee" is a bit of a joke. In my experience the system goes down every other weekend and doesn't get fixed till Monday; 95% would be closer to the mark. Currently they have been bouncing all e-mail to my domains with a 550 error for more than 36 hours.

The Perl module required to access MySQL vanished at one point and I never got a reply to any of my enquiries about it.

So, I give them the lowest ratings for Customer Support and Reliability. However, the Pricing is very good, which is why I'm still using them, though the 550 from the SMTP server might be final straw.

Of course, you can't expect much customer support for £10 a year, and I've never heard of anyone else even offering MySQL for £10 a year, but it's a shame about the reliability.

Verdict : I have read all the comments below with interest as my experiences have been nothing but good with HostLogical. As seems to be the theme with this and other hosts on this website the reviews vary quite a bit from good to bad.

I have hosted my site with them for over 2 years and they have always been happy to help with any query and setup my hosting with domain name very quickly. I also purchased their ecart solution and found it very easy to use and customise.

I now have a number of websites with HostLogical and will continue to use them because of their great prices.

Verdict : I have 2 starter accounts with hostlogical and on one the bandwidth went over.
They contacted me straight away and i replied asking how to upgrade account and got back i can upgrade at any time.
That wasnt the Q so i emailed back and asked how and was it possible to transfer out a domain.
This was on a sunday so they have a bit of an excuse but on the monday i sent 3/4 emails and raised a ticket with no reply.

Then i loggef into the webbuilder and found none of my pages where there :-/, VERY VERY bad experience with these people, cr*p customer support and cr*p way of dealing with people who over use!

I should of been sending them money to upgrade my account,they obviously didnt want it!

Verdict : After a lot of research I chose hostlogical as the best priced hosting company for a first time web publisher. They were very prompt at taking money and setting up usernames etc but have NOT replied to correspondence since then. It appears that they reply to this site more reliably than their own customer queries. So can you please help hostlogical??? My website is ready to go live but am unable to upload it using FrontPage 2003 and get an error message of unable to find web server!! I have installed frontpage extensions and checked your server page and they are both fine!!!!

Verdict : I'm very disappointed with the customer support from HostLogical at present. In fact, had there been an option to give them 0 out of 5 for that category, I would have taken it.
The absence of a telephone number is most galling, as the support tickets process is failing miserably. (For the benefit of HL staff reading this, see tickets 949 & 959).
I too have received the e-mails telling me I need to migrate my sites, but no follow-up with the promised details has appeared, even though the process was initiated several months ago.
I have, in the past, recommended HL to friends & colleagues, based on previous levels of service, and the price - which is very good. I could not, in all conscience, do that now. I have no idea of the root cause, but perhaps they're victims of their own success.

Verdict : I am a novice at building web sites but, after being assured that I would receive 24 x 7 customer support from Hostlogical I signed up for a package which would give my registered charity a web site. I found that an error had been made (probably by myself) and every time I enter the Control Panel, it appears to be frozen at the image properties page. I have been trying to get a response from (their)Hostlogical's cuastomer support since 10/12/2004. The only response I have had is 7 different ticket numbers issued by some machine. I dont call this 24 x 7 customer support and THEY wont assist me to move to a different host. Any suggestions wojuld be most welcome.

We have reset your account on a number of occasions and helped you out as best we can - including having one of our developers looking at your site code. At the end of the day, our Site Builder tool is a free facility that comes with the hosting package. I can safely say that no one else from out thousands of customers has experienced the problems or had the level of support you have demanded. I believe even today we have contacted you to see what the latest issue is - but have yet to receive a reply. I am all for constructive feedback on our services and am happy to respond in anyone way I can but I do feel in this instance the criticism in this review is unfounded and unjustified.

Verdict : I gave up my easily.co.uk hosting plan just over a year ago, and turned to hostlogical as it was the cheapest option that I could find for what I wanted. They were very quick in responding to my regestration request, and just as quick in takign my money, I decided to take the 500mb solution, sheerly because it ws the only account that would support multiple domain names. I have had no problems with this, aspart from the hacker, and the server fire, that was mentioned in other reviews. Untill recently I would have given HostLogical five stars for everything, but when I wish to transfer my domain name to another server, they simply do not reply, and still, when they won't reply and transfer me to the new server network, they still will not reply. I am conflicted in what action I should take: should I pay £15 to nominet and get them to transfer my domain, or should I wait and see what happens.
HostLogical offer exlempory hosting solutions, all they need to sort is their costomer support. I would like to be transferd to the new hosting network as soon as possible.

Verdict : As a complete novice - first time I've published a website - I initially looked for the cheapest option. HostLogical were far and away the cheapest solution and ticked all the boxes including FrontPage server extensions. They replied to my enquiry within minutes and took my money even faster ... I was impressed.

Uploading the website was not so straightforward however and after a few hiccups, umpteen tickets (Hostlogicals support service is similar to the 'deli' counter at the local supermarket where you obtain a ticket and wait your turn although at the 'deli' the wait is usually less than a week!) and 7 days later the site eventually was up and running.

1 week later and the site has gone wobbly and despite another round of tickets I'm still waiting for a response. And that is the major sticking point I have with HostLogical - support. As a novice I daresay I am a nuisance and ask the most irritating questions but HostLogical support system gets around this by ensuring there is no way of contacting them apart from the online ticketing system. Therefore you get the feeling that there does not seem to be any sense of urgency or responsibility and irritating queries like my own can be avoided until the pizza man arrives. Although I will stick by them for the interim my patience is already wearing thin after only a fortnight.

Verdict : In the past 13 months we've had 2 problems with Host logical. First was due to a hacker taking over their servers (not really their fault) they did email us about recovery and everything got back on track. Recently all our 5 sites went down. We emailed and received very brief reply about 3 hours later saying they had had a fire. An hour later our sites were back up.
My main concern over their support is they don't have any phone contact number, nor do they have a business address - I don't mind about this as long as everything is working, but worrying when you get problems. Despite this concern, my experience is essentially positive, but we'll monitor it closely over this year.

All my emails are rejected by anyone with aol addresses (plus many others ISPs) because they identify their servers as potential spam sources.
I have been trying to get some response through sending emails and completing their online helpdesk but get vague statements and no action (when they can be bothered to respond).

I can't contact customers with aol accounts and don't think it's unreasonable to ask for a solution. It's my renewal day today and instead of trying to sort, they have cut me off...so no emails and no website.....dreadful!
These guys make easyjet look like a luxury airline...you pay your money and gets your choice...AVOID

Verdict : Funny how those THREE perfect glowing reviews all came in on the same day. READ all reviews and make a judgement... This "company" cannot be trusted. They have let me down and i have been forced to move elsewhere. No satisfactory customer support is readily available and poor service is all i recieved. If you think you will never need their help to fix a problem then fine, go with them, but if you think you may need to call them to sort something out, then look elsewhere. I can't believe people are saying they have EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SUPPORT on this forum when the majority of people are saying otherwise. Makes you think... doesn't it!

Verdict : Another EV-reseller, so the usual reasonable technical offering, at a good price - BUT! THERE IS NO SUPPORT! None at all. Nothing. Nix. Nada. Zilch. I have continually battled to get any response to support tickets, emails or phone calls. The recent changes to the servers was the final straw - my old package allowed multiple domains, the NEW package does not, and a move is not optional. I was not informed of this in any way, and have now been FORCED to transfer all my domains to a new host. Fortunately I registered the majority of the other domains using a seperate registrar, I now only have the final battle of getting HostIllogical to release the one domain name I did register with them. #########. Avoid like the plague.

Trouble is they need to send ftp details after you request them after changing domain details. 6 weeks later and I am still waiting, hence no site since then. This is unacceptable and I will be changing hosting company, shame really as it was working great till then. But if I cannot display my page what can I do.

Verdict : I am truly peeved off now. My website has been down (through my own mistaken actions) for 3 days now (and counting) and i have had no luck with getting it back online. I have used the online helpdesk and ticketing system to no avail (i've placed about 7 queries, and got one response to which NO action was taken). So, im left here 3 days before Xmas with NO website and no commissions.
THey have NO phone helpdesk at ALL so you have to sit and wait for someone to get around to looking into your case, if at all. I have set them a deadline of answering my queries of Midnight tonight, or i am leaving them for someone else.

Verdict : They are unable to work out why I can nolonger ftp onto my site. Initially blames an excellent ISP, Arnold and Andrews, as I was using their ADSL. After givening Hostlogical the network traces that show the problem is at their end, they now just do not response to the support tickets. They are the worse ISP I've had to deal with.

Verdict : The servers seem to be reasonably reliable but I agree with other users who find the support appalling or non-existant. In my case, the latter. I am due for renewal soon and really can't decide whether to go ahaead or not. As I say, the server seems to be reliable, but that's no help if you can't resolve any problems that crop up. Now you could say you are not going to have problems - lots of experience, a simple site... - but you're equally screwed if THEY have problems: like now, when they are supposed to be moving me to a new server and haven't given me the address info I need to do it! I honestly don't know if I recommend them or not, as proved by the fact that I'm not sure whether to renew or not myself. But at least it's a cheap mistake if that's what it turns out to be.

Verdict : What can I say, signed up to transfer an existing domain, so not even purchase one, that was on the 13th of November I think, guess what, so far all i've received since is an email confirming the order stating that it will be setup on receipt of payment, a notification of payment from world pay and a headache trying to get in touch with the company. My Husband has already got a domain with them that took less than 48 hours to get online with a domain transfer. In my opinion so far DON'T GO HERE!

Verdict : I rarely make the effort to sing the praises of any service of company, but HostLogical has really stood out in terms of value for money and friendly service.

After moving my site from a much bigger host just over six months ago I have only had good experiences with HostLogical. The support issues of the past seem to have been resolved and their recent affiliate programme and other initiatives have kept my interest and recommendation to others.

In effect no customer support even if the website states 24/7 support. Simply not true. Only automated messages generated an no phone line available or email response. Verdict : I'm the same simonjp as below- I just felt I should warn people using this site that there is a certain tendancy of the comments for this host to go negative, positive, negative, positive, etc. I think there may be a case against the host for posting their own comments- at least if they don't, then half their customers have excellent support and half don't get replied to at all. If you decide to take their services, I hope for your sake you're in the positive half! Verdict : I couldn't recommend this service. It is cheap, but you don't get much for your money. Service doesn't exist- comments I made half a year ago haven't been replied to. My domain is now blocked as a spammer because it's hosted on their server; I've given them (him?) instructions on how to release this but it's still not happened. Something I wish I'd known; never get hosting from someone who doesn't make their 'real' address and phone number public!

Verdict : We have been hosted with HostLogical for over a year now and to be honest can have no complaints. Any support issues have been answered quickly and the new support desk is really helpful. The pricing is the main reason I choose the company and the reliability of the servers is good.

Verdict : The support is non existent. They say 24x7x365 but I have unanswered questions from 2 months ago (and counting). Unless this changes. I'm off.

Verdict : Our site has been hosted by HostLogical for nearly a year now and although I admit we did have support issues to start with they have taken steps to dimish these issues espeically with the introduction of their support desk. The hosting pacakge is first class and I have not found a host who offers better value for money.

Verdict : I reckon there are a few trolls in this hosts web reviews because my hosting experience has been pretty poor. Their prices are excellent but their support is hopeless. No replies to support queries, despite multiple emails to various support addresses (sales/tech/accounts). Site availablity can also be pretty iffy despite their claims of maximum uptime. I give them a 2/5 overall only because of their prices.

Verdict : At first I thought I had found the ideal hosting service but their support is abysmal I have e-mailed them at least 12 times over the last month and even sent them a fax. I have received no response and cannot access the support room ticket as the link doesn't work. My website is still not working This is definitely a hostlogical problem..it was working fine at first but now all navigation has gone and I am still waiting!!!!

Verdict : I choose HostLogical after their sponsorship of shorehamairshow.com which they also host. At first I was wary due to the fact that their prices were so cheap, but you get so much for so little. Support queries are answered quickly and my site is always up and running. Add to this the fact that they give you £300 of software when you sign up I could not be happier. Recommended!
