Must be a different provider to the other post!
My experience with diyhost is nothing but superb. Excellent support via the submit ticket (amazing response times)Zero down time in nearly 3 years...never had an issue with payments...never had site susspended!
What more can i say 1st class excellent hosting company and a great price!

DIY Host have been one of the worst companies I have dealt with in a long time. Frequent downtime, unhelpful responses to help tickets, and "lost payments". One month I made the payment via worldpay as usual, and kept receiving reminders - I queried this with the help ticket system and was told my query had been passed onto billing. No response, but in the evening my sites were shut down with their grotesque "suspended page" in their place. Nothing could be done overnight apparently, so my sites were down fourteen hours until they could be bothered to look into it - received the following reply "worldpay did not notify of us the payment, sorry". Like hell, I decided to leave when my site was down each evening for a week with no explanation from DIYHost and snotty replies from Richard. Leaving is made even more difficult because their apparent "security procedures" demand you forward a completed form to them with proof of identity "a credit card or bank statement for example" to change the nameservers on any domain you have with them. You think I would forward this sort of information to them? I am disgusted with the service received from DIYHost - frequent downtime, unstable servers, and poor staff service. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere! |
